Smokey Dry Marble featuring Conjured Polish and Firecracker Lacquer

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

There's something magical about the way polish looks when you marble colors together. I think it all goes back to my fascination with oil droplets on pavement. All those colors swirled together are just mesmerizing. I wanted to play around with my favorite Conjured Polish colors to see what I could come up with.

This mani uses the dry marble technique. I started with a base of Firecracker Lacquer Unexpected Chill. From there I marbled Conjured Polish's Death By Lovin' and Toe Tapping Tragedy.

The tricky part is getting the right amount of polish on each nail while working quickly. If I were to go back and redo this, I would have marbled more on my index finger, and probably would have used less blue on my middle finger.
