Bohemian Polish Go Fetch | Polish Pickup April 2018 - Press sample

Can you believe it's almost time for the Polish Pickup again? Me either! Today's post features Bohemian Polish's upcoming release for the space themed shop. Go Fetch was inspired by the Mars Rover. If there's one thing a lot of indies have in common, it's their love and fascination with all things space.

Bright Spring Flowers feat. Born Pretty Store & Morgan Taylor - Press sample

Spring is finally here in Oregon (what a relief!) so I thought it was time to celebrate with pastels, bright colors, and some flowers.


I'm still head over heels in love with the Morgan Taylor Royal Temptations collection, so I couldn't miss an opportunity to wear Ruffle Those Feathers again.


Once my base color had time to dry I applied a sticky clear coat so that I could burnish a chameleon powder into each nail. I picked the Born Pretty Store Chameleon Matte Powder (item 40878 color 2) because I think blue creates a nice contrast to the minty green.


While my chameleon powder was setting, I worked on these cute stamping decals featuring the Bundle Monster Botanicals: Desert Rose plate. The stamp is Morgan Taylor Pretty As A Pink-ture filled in with Morgan Taylor Days In The Sun.

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've posted some of my Savannah Blue Wax melts, so I thought it was time for a new post! While I'm normally quite diligent about taking photos of my wax before I store it, I managed to miss a couple of items featured in this post.

As you might know, Savannah Blue was one of my first vendor wax brands, and I've stuck with her ever since. Her blends fit my personal scent palette, the throw is almost always perfect, and her customer service is A+. Did I mention that she's also an Oregonian? That's always a bonus for me when shopping. I hope you enjoy my recent melts!

Jesse's Girl Lipstick & Glow Stix - Press sample

Some of you may know Jesse's Girl Cosmetics from my previous nail polish posts. While they make fantastic nail polish, they are so much more than that! From lipstick to eyeshadow, Jesse's Girl has everything a girl could ever need. Instead of focusing on polish, I wanted to share their brand new line of signature lipsticks and Glow Stix.


The Jesse's Girl Lipstick line is ultra affordable at $4.99/tube. While the price is easy on the wallet, they didn't skimp on anything. The colors are highly pigmented, and the tubes are sturdy.



Niki (pictured above in natural light) is a nice medium berry shade. It offers nice, full coverage with minimal effort.


If twelve brand new lipsticks aren't enough, Jesse's Girl Cosmetics also released eight brand new Glow Stix lip gloss shades. Jesse's Girl Glow Sticks are a high shine, color shifting, non-sticky lip gloss that can be worn alone or over lipstick. Paired with the new Jesse's Girl lipsticks, the color combinations are endless!


Nova worn alone in artificial lighting. Nova has base hues of purple and green. The purple tends to be more apparent in lower lighting as picture above.


Pandora shown alone in natural lighting. Pandora has a strong green base that shifts to purple. I found that this was one of the more noticeable shifts in the Glow Stix collection. As you can tell from my lip swatch I was quite amused that I captured the glow of this one! I wasn't kidding when I said these were a lot of fun!

I'm back with more fun things from Scofflaw Nail Varnish! Today's post features two new shades coming to Scofflaw in April. If you were a fan of Radioactive Mermaid you will be delighted to know that there are two more shades to go with it. The new shades launching are Radioactive Sea Monkey and Radioactive Kraken. Both shades were created in the same style as Radioactive Mermaid, and I think these are a definite must have!

There are few moments in my "polish" life where I flip out over a new release. If you've followed Scofflaw Nail Varnish for any amount of time, you are probably quite familiar with one of her more popular shades - David Bowie's Bulge. It's a gorgeous red crelly packed with glitter. Like a total dummy, I missed this shade on numerous occasions. Thankfully, Scofflaw is releasing Life on Mars? for the April Polish Pickup. Why is this significant? Well, not only is this another tribute to David Bowie, it's the next best thing to owning David Bowie's Bulge.
