Welcome back! I know many of you are currently stuck under that polar vortex but believe it or not, spring is on the way. For today's post we're going to take a look at the brand new Zoya Innocence collection for spring!
This is a six piece collection with a nice assortment of colors for the season. You'll notice two colors that seem a little unusual for a Zoya collection. First is a soft, sage green and the other is a deep gray with shimmer and irregularly shaped flecks. I am all about tossing things up, so I'm pretty excited about this collection! I'm happy to see they are venturing away from a ton of pinks and purples for spring. These new colors really freshen things up in my opinion. Let's check out some swatches!
Birch
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Gentle greiged lavender creme
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: I like that Birch isn't your standard spring lavender. The gray undertones make this shade really wearable year round.
Agnes
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Warm toned muted blush creme
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: Agnes is a really nice shade of blush. I like that it has a hint of pink because this keep it from feeling washed out. This is one of my top neutral colors from Zoya to date.
Evette
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Softened grape creme
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: You really can't do spring without a cheerful shade of purple. I like that Zoya went with something more vibrant for this collection. It really helps bust those rainy spring days.
Aire
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Deep, dusty periwinkle creme
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: Finally a periwinkle that is actually a periwinkle! Aire is a delightful addition to the Innocence collection. This is something I could see myself wearing regularly.
Theo
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Stormy gray with irregularly shaped white flakes, dark blue glitter and a shimmer finish
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: If you've ventured into indie polish at all this one should excite you! I love that Zoya is changing things up with a ton of shimmer and flakes for Theo. I sincerely hope that Zoya entertains interesting compositions like this in the future. Don't get me wrong, I love a good creme, but it's nice to have variety.
Fern
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Balanced sage creme with a gold pearl shimmer
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: I know greens can be really hit or miss for some people but I would love to see more greens in the overall Zoya lineup. Fern is a wearable green that I think even non-green lovers can get behind.
