I don't know how many of you watch Shark Tank, but I was super excited when Balm Chicky Balm Balm reached out to me for a review. Their products are changing the way we use lip balm.


The friend end isn't the only great thing about these balms. They are all natural, and three times the size of a standard lip balm. They retail for a bit more than your standard tube at $7, but similar products retail for around $3.50 for a third of the size.

There are some days where a simple mani will do, and others that require some funky, vintage nail art. When I first started matching up colors my head was telling me how hideous this was going to be. Yellow, and several shades of orange? Count me out! That's when something magical happened. As I put the finishing touches on this mani I started to feel extra groovy.

I've always had mixed feelings about fimo canes. Whenever I saw them used in nail art they appeared gaudy. I was given the opportunity to try these thanks to a friend, and it really changed my opinion of them.

The key to a subtle fimo decoration is the slice thickness. Too thick, and your slice won't sit flat. Too thin, and your polish will show through light colored fimo slices. If you don't mind the color showing through, thin slices are the way to go.

With a little practice I discovered that the easiest way to cut thin slices is to hold down the cane on a cutting mat (or board), and push down gently with a hand held razor blade. Don't get them confused with the kind you shave with. You want one with a handle like this. It will take a little practice, but eventually you can get them as thin as resume paper.

Remember bubble baths? The used to be so much fun as a kid. Then we grew up and stopped taking baths because showers end up being quicker and more convenient. Let me tell you, bubble baths are totally worth the extra time as an adult. You just need to find the right scent to set the mood.



I wanted to emphasize the amount of suds by pouring some product into my bathroom sink for a demo. I poured less than a dime sized amount into my sink before running a small amount of hot water.

I am pretty excited ecstatic to share my swatches of My Darling Curios polishes. This might be one of the quickest turn-around times ever for my blog. The colors are lovely, and I even had someone say that they reminded them of pretty cupcakes.
