I was recently approached by JORD Wood Watches to try and review one of their gorgeous timepieces. In all honesty I haven't worn a watch in years because I couldn't find one that really spoke to me. Everything I came across was too flashy, or uninspired. Upon viewing the JORD website I realized that they do things differently. I wasn't looking at the same old watch of yesteryear, rather a unique, back-to-basics design with a natural twist.


My custom fitted watch came in a classic wood box neatly packed on a tweed pillow. The presentation was exquisite while maintaining a minimalist appearance.


As a true Oregonian, I have a special appreciation for nature. I feel as though my JORD wood watch represents that sentiment without needing to say a word.


There are so many ways I could style my watch, but I thought it would be best to show you how it inspired my nails. I picked a teal green from Firecracker Lacquer called A Stone to Resurrect, and stamped over it using UberChic plate 4-02.

I chose to keep the design simple with a natural motif to complement the natural grain of the watch.

Skincare is something that has become important to me over the last year. One of the most important parts of skincare is sunscreen. A good sunscreen can help prevent all kinds of sun damage without clogging pores. Finding a good facial sunscreen can be quite a challenge.

I decided to put Heliotop 360 Sunscreen to the test last weekend. Instead of writing several paragraphs on the topic that you most certainly won't read, scroll down for the pros and cons.

One of the worst things that can happen to nail polish is retirement. Some colors get retired because the pigments and glitters no longer exist. Other times it's because a maker needs to make room in their store for new content. Regardless of the reason it's a sad situation. UberChic know's exactly what's up with these rad retro prints. Since Vegas has a vintage feel to it, I decided to pair some UberChic stamping with Girly Bits Up All Night to Get Lucky. I think they turned out to be a retro match made in heaven!

Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer has been my go-to product this summer. I tend to be far more busy during the summer, so it's important that my products are quick and easy to use. I don't usually care for Vaseline, but the spray moisturizer is nothing like your mothers tub of petroleum jelly. Think of this as being more like a non-sticky spray on aloe.

With so many wonderful polishes out there it can be nearly impossible to choose which one to buy, or rather which ones not to buy. My general rule of thumb is to pick the most sparkly one out of the bunch because you can't go wrong with a little bling.

I can't seem to get enough of Ninja Polish or Uber Chic, so I decided to combine the two. I ended up with this playful mani:

There's something magical about the way polish looks when you marble colors together. I think it all goes back to my fascination with oil droplets on pavement. All those colors swirled together are just mesmerizing. I wanted to play around with my favorite Conjured Polish colors to see what I could come up with.

I'm continuing the trend of "firsts" with my very first Fair Maiden Polish. I picked up this gorgeous shade while attending Cocktails & Colors in Vegas. At the time I was aware of the brand, but I hadn't experienced that "wow-factor" that everyone talks about. I think it's safe to say that I finally get all the hype.
