Hey guys! I'm back with a simple and fun glitter gradient to celebrate the Fourth of July. I love glitter gradients and thought it would be a perfect way to showcase two gorgeous indies at once.

Model City Polish Stand Proud Reverie Nail Lacquer Starcrossed

Model City Polish "Stand Proud" is a red, white and blue glitter topper consisting of various sizes of hexagon glitter and holographic stars. Pictured above is a glitter gradient over Reverie Nail Lacquer "Starcrossed". The formula was a nice consistency and I had no issue finding the mini stars. Stand Proud is a limited edition color and will only be around for this summer. I'm not entirely sure how much longer it will stick around.

Reverie Nail Lacquer "Starcrossed" is a silvery light taupe polish with gold and holographic shimmer. Pictured above is three coats of "Starcrossed" topped with "Stand Proud". The formula was smooth and had full coverage with three coats. Starcrossed is a nice twist on the typical nude. I felt like the gold and holo shimmer really transformed this into something special.

Firecracker Lacquer Meet Your Maker Review Part 2

You've met Kendahl and her love of penguins, big trucks and space. Now it's time for you to see the second half of her collection. Part two is jam packed with glitter.

Girl Fight

Girl Fight is a magenta jelly with glitter that shifts from pink to purple, as well as a hint of holo in the right light. It has so much glitter that it sparkles regardless of what lighting you are in. Pictured above is three coats with no base color. It has a nice consistency and spreads easily. I hate picking favorites because it feels wrong, but this one might be it. I got quite a few compliments when I was wear testing this.

Polishes used: Firecracker Lacquer- Girl Fight, Revlon- Top Coat

Ocean's Deep

Ocean's Deep is a blackened teal jelly with iridescent hexes. It's super squishy and has a lot of depth. Kendahl's inspiration for the color? "I adore the ocean and all of its gorgeous creatures, even the ones that will eat your face off." I just about died when I read that. This had a really even application regardless of what coat I was working on. I decided to go with three coats, but you could really do whatever your heart desires.

Polishes used: Firecracker Lacquer- Ocean's Deep, Revlon- Top Coat

Frosting

Frosting is a holo topper like no other. Scatterd and linear holographic pigment plus various sizes of holo hexes make this holo toper a special treat to top any polish with. As Kendahl says, "everything is better with frosting." The formula on this was perfect. It's a smidge thinner than you might expect, but the formula suspends glitter like a pro. This is like Fairy Dust on steroids, and it looks pretty on everything. Pictured above is one coat over blue. On the ring finger I used two coats to show how quickly the glitter builds up.

Polishes used: Firecracker Lacquer- Frosting, Ulta- Blue Streak, Revlon- Top Coat

Punked

Punked is a black jelly with various sizes of hexes in silver, charcoal, pink, purple and holo. This polish is a tribute to Kendahl's kid "Punk." This is a squishy black jelly with lots of glitter. Pictured above is three coats with no base color. You could do two coats if you don't mind seeing your nail line, but I decided to go with three coats for full coverage. The formula was great and suspended glitter nicely without having it clump up on the brush.

Firecracker Lacquer Meet Your Maker Review Part 1

This one has been a long time in the making. Over the last five months, Kendahl has been mixing and testing polish for the launch of Firecracker Lacquer. After seeing a few sneak peeks over the last few months I could hardly contain my excitement. These colors came from a place of love and were thoughtfully tested by a handful of people before they were released. I hope you all love these as much as I do!

Penguin Parade

Penguin Parade is linear holographic black inspired by Kendahl's favorite animal. The consistency on this was really nice for a jelly. The formula did not clump up at all while I was using it. I was able to achieve full coverage with two coats. The holographic pigment is a bit subtle indoors, but it really shines when you step outside. This is a true black holo, which is incredibly hard to find!

Polishes used: Firecracker Lacquer- Penguin Parade, Revlon- Top Coat

PINK!

Pink is a glitter topper packed with a ton of neon pink glitter, a few white squares and some holo pigment. Pictured above is one coat over grey with two coats on the ring finger. The glitter distributed nicely and did not require any manipulation. As you can see from my accent nail, you can really build up the glitter quickly.

Polishes used: Firecracker Lacquer- Pink, Essie- School of Hard Rocks, Revlon- Top Coat

Starry Sky

Starry Sky is a blue cream with turquoise and silver glitter, and some holographic stars. The formula on this was perfect. It's like your typical cream, but it does an excellent job of suspending glitter. I didn't have to fish for stars at all. I know my swatches don't have very many stars, but there were quite a few in the first coat of polish. If you would like more stars on the nail a quick dip of the brush will render at least one star if not a whole cluster.

Your Mom Thought I Was Big Enough

Your Mom Thought I Was Big Enough is an homage to the planet that once was. It's a multi-chrome polish, shifting through blue, purple, red, and orange. It's also a linear holographic with varying sizes of holo bits throughout. The formula is thin enough that it could be used as a topper, but pigmented enough that it could be built up on its own. Pictured above is one coat over a pink nude with three coats (no base color) on the ring finger.

Polishes used: Firecracker Lacquer- Your Mom Thought I Was Big Enough, Zoya- Rue, Revlon- Top Coat

Crawlin' Queen

Crawlin' Queen is a gray cream with pink and teal hexes, and small white squares. The formula on this is a smidge thicker than I expected, but it applies evenly without creating any drag. The consistency might have been due to our 90 degree weather while I was swatching. Pictured above is two coats with no base color.This color looks lovely on its own and paired with PINK! or Frosting.

Reverie Nail Lacquer Summer 2014 Review

Reverie Nail Lacquer may sound like a brand new indie, but they simply an old favorite in disguise. If you have ever seen or used Two Gypsies Nail Lacquer, they are one and the same. Today I have the Summer 2014 collection which consists of a couple jellies and a LOT of glitter.

Seascape

Seascape is a cream crelly with gold shimmer, hex and dot glitters in various shades of peach, yellow, and blue. The formula was a bit thick, but it was simply because it is jam packed with glitter. I found it a bit difficult to apply with the mini brush. The formula itself felt like a workable consistency, so I am almost certain it was the brush. I was able to achieve full coverage with three coats, and a little bit of glitter manipulation.

Polishes used: Reverie Nail Lacquer- Seascape, Revlon- Top Coat

Agave

Agave is a pale blue-grey crelly with tiny copper and golden flakies. The formula was a nice consistency and applied evenly with each coat. At two coats it almost reached full coverage, but I decided a third coat was necessary so that you could get the full effect. This is a polish that I never knew I wanted, but now that I have seen and worn it, I don't think I could live without it.

Polishes used: Reverie Nail Lacquer- Agave, Revlon- Top Coat

Orchid

Orchid is a pale purple-pink base with a slight golden shimmer and a subtle holographic sheen in the sunlight. The formula was a nice consistency and applied evenly. I was able to achieve near full coverage with three coats, but you could still faintly see the nail line if you looked closely. Orchid could be worn as shown or over another color for an extra sparkle. It isn't super thin, but I think a dark purple or black would really make it pop.

Summer Wine

Summer Wine is a bright red jelly with pink, red, orange, yellow and iridescent hex and dot glitter. Pictured above is three coats with no base color. The formula on this was a bit thick because of the glitter content, but the jelly itself was very workable. I had issues applying the glitter with the mini brush, so I used the dab on method once I established a basic coverage. I think this color would be very easy to work with if you used a full sized brush. I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about this color in the bottle, but once it was on my nails I fell in love. The fact that she stuck with one portion of the color wheel intensified the impact of the color as a whole. I couldn't stop thinking about a cool glass of sangria while swatching it.

Polishes used: Reverie Nail Lacquer- Summer Wine, Revlon- Top Coat

Andromeda

Andromeda is a deep blue-purple jelly with hex and dot glitter, two different sizes of stars and tiny iridescent bar glitter. The formula overall was a bit thinner than Summer Wine because of the lower glitter content. The jelly portion of the composition is fairly close, if not the same as Summer Wine. This was a bit easier to work with because of the lower glitter content, but still difficult with the mini brush. It took three coats to get an even coverage of base color and glitter. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to fish for star glitters. They came out willingly, and even in small clusters. If I didn't know better, I would have thought they were trying to form a small solar system on my fingers.

Polishes used: Reverie Nail Lacquer- Andromeda, Revlon- Top Coat

Mermaid Scales

Mermaid Scales is a sparkly teal micro-glitter bomb with holographic and iridescent glitters. Pictured above is three coats with no base color, and an accent nail featuring one coat of Mermaid Scales over white. The formula was just thick enough to keep glitter well suspended without being too thick to apply. I was rather surprised at how much coverage this gave with just three coats. This color is absolutely stunning.

Polishes used: Reverie Nail Lacquer- Mermaid Scales, Sinful Colors- Snow Me White, Revlon- Top Coat

This collection is incredibly cohesive while standing out from the crowd. It would be incredibly hard to pick a favorite, but Agave really spoke to me. The other five colors come in close second. I don't usually care for all of the colors in a collection, but this one certainly won me over.

Ice Polish- Dreams Come True...Not If I Can Help It Collection Review

Hey guys! I have a Disney themed collection from Ice Polish to share with you. The collection is called "Dreams Come True...Not If I Can Help It" and is based on princesses and villans. The full collection consisting of twelve colors will be available on June 30th.

Jasmine

Jasmine is a light blue holo with an iridescent shimmer. Pictured above is three coats with no base color. The formula was easy to work with and dried quickly.

What made this color stand out from many other light blue holos is that it has a subtle iridescent shimmer. It was hard to capture the effect, so I blew up a section of the photo to full resolution so that you could see it better. The image on the left is how it appears indoors, and the right shows its appearance outdoors.

Polishes used: Ice Polish- Jasmine, Revlon- Top Coat

Jafar

Jafar is a rich holographic purple with micro flakies that shift from gold to purple. The formula was a nice consistency and only required two coats for full coverage.

Here's a close up view of the flakies inside and outside. The effect is a lot more subtle, but it still adds something extra to the standard holo. I feel like this one transformed the most when photographing it in the sunlight.

Polishes used: Ice Polish- Jafar, Revlon- Top Coat

Belle

Belle is a deep yellow polish packed with pink and yellow flakies. The formula was a nice consistency, but a bit on the thin side. It took four coats to build up full coverage. If you don't mind seeing a bit of your nail line you could get away with two or three coats.

This was another color that was more difficult to capture the full effect. On the left is Belle indoors under a diffused daylight bulb, and the right is Belle outdoors in direct sunlight.

Polished used: Ice Polish- Belle, Revlon- Top Coat

Gaston

Gaston is a red shimmer with red and gold flakies and holographic pigment. The formula was a nice consistency and was fully opaque with two coats.

I found that the gold and red flakies are more apparent indoors (pictured left) than they are outdoors (pictured right).

Polishes used: Ice Polish- Gaston, Revlon- Top Coat

This whole collection caught me by surprise in a great way. Her holos are unlike anything I own which is hard to say when you own 400+ colors. I think my favorite has to be Jasmine, but Jafar is a close second. What color did you like the most?

Revlon Parfumerie- Wintermint Review for the Never Ending Pile Challenge

According to the Never Ending Pile Challenge, I'm supposed to post something green today. I scooped up two Revlon Parfumerie colors for a deep discount a while back, so I figured it was about time I gave Wintermint a try. If you are unfamiliar with the color, maybe you are familiar with Mermaid's Dream by Deborah Lippmann. This is an exact dupe of that, plus a minty scent.

Wintermint is a light green metallic with gold shimmer and blue circle glitter. The formula on this was just right, and only required two coats for full coverage. I was a bit worried about the scent at first because you can smell it when you open the bottle, but once it dried it had a subtle minty smell.

Polishes used: Revlon Parfumerie- Wintermint, Orly- Bonder, Poshe- Top Coat
