Superchic Lacquer Into the Woods Collection

Monday, September 01, 2014

Hey guys! I'm posting this way later than I would have liked to. My package shipped from California and decided to take a detour to South Carolina before making its way back to Oregon eight days later. I was so antsy waiting for these to get here after seeing all of the wonderful swatches from other bloggers.

Superchic Lacquer's Into the Woods collection consists of ten gorgeous colors plus her brand new Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat. I had the pleasure of swatching three colors from this collection.

Baker's Hunger for a Bun in the Oven is a muted deep lush blue-gray with contrasting fiery-copper iridescent shimmer and holographic effects. This color is insanely complex and incredibly gorgeous. The formula was a nice consistency and only required two coats for full coverage.

Polishes used: Superchic Lacquer- Baker's Hunger for a Bun in the Oven, Superchic Lacquer- Marvel Top Coat

You Don't Know Jack About My Beans is a lush artichoke green with a strong contrasting fiery iridescent, holographic and green shimmer effects. This color was just lovely regardless of what lighting it was photographed in. The formula was a nice consistency, but a bit less pigmented than Baker's Hunger. I used four thin coats in the photos above.

Golden Delicious Curse

Golden Delicious Curse is a succulent apple-cranberry base adorned with strong contrasting flashes of green to gold iridescence, chrome and holographic effects. The iridescence is subtle in the photos, but it really glows in the sunshine. The formula was a nice consistency and reached full coverage with three coats.

I wanted to do some subtle stamping over Golden Delicious Curse, but I didn't realize how subtle it would appear in the photos! I used Vivid Lacquer's VL 031 with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Gone Grey.

I can even begin to tell you how excited I am for Superchic Lacquer's Into the Woods collection. All of the colors were a nice consistency and gorgeous in all different types of lighting. The collection releases today, September 1st.

  1. Gah, great swatches! I am a huge fan of Into The Woods (I played the epic score on bassoon in a 2003 production and bawl every time at "No One Is Alone"). So needless to say these will all be mine!!
