It is my pleasure to bring you another installment from Octopus Party Nail Lacquer. The summer collection contains eight brand new shades that are perfect to heat up your spring and help you transition into the warmer months.

Shore Fire

Shore Fire is a red based jelly with blue micro glitter. The consistency was not too thick and not too thin which made the application process nice. I decided to use three thin coats for full coverage, but if you don't mind seeing a faint nail line you could get away with two coats. Because of the nature of the formula you can see brushstrokes in the blue shimmer. This can be easily avoided if you take an extra stroke or two from cuticle to tip to smooth it out.

I also found that Shore Fire stamped nicely. I used MoYou Pro Collection 09 and a squishy stamper. Pictured above is Shore Fire stamped over Laguna Bleach.

Laguna Bleach

Laguna Bleach is a bright white cream with a blueish tint. The consistency was a little on the thin side, but it was very manageable. Upon applying the first coat I panicked a little because it was super streaky. By the second coat it magically transformed into a full coverage beauty. I almost always hate any white based color because of its formula. Laguna Bleach is nothing like my pile of crappy white polishes. A big kudos to Dave for nailing this one.

Sizzler

Sizzler is a linear holo polish that contains holographic micro glitter and small holographic circles. The consistency was thick enough that it suspended the holographic glitter, but not so thick that it was clumpy on the nail. This formula dried smooth, and does not require a thick top coat. I was rather pleased that I was able to get full coverage with just two coats of polish.
