Zoya Urban Grunge Cremes- Press sample

I'm so excited to be bringing you swatches of the Urban Grunge collection! I previewed this collection at Cosmoprof North America this year and was over the moon when I saw they were releasing a "Courtney" polish. I've split my review into two parts to keep things manageable. The cremes are today, and the metallics will follow tomorrow.

August

Notes: This applied like a dream.

Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Taupe creme
Coverage: 1 coat
Notes: This may not be the best shade for my skin tone, but it might be someone else's perfect nude.

Formula: A little thick. Dries quickly
Finish: Oxblood creme
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: This shade was a little bit difficult for me. It dries quickly when you apply it, and didn't self level as much as I had hoped. I tried to apply it with a single thick coat, but I found that it needed a second coat for full coverage. I think that if I had applied two thin coats it would have gone smoothly.

Tara

Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Eggplant creme
Coverage: 1 coat
Notes: I adore this shade because it works well for autumn, Halloween, and the holiday season. It's rare to find a color that fits so many different seasons.

Wyatt

Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Green creme
Coverage: 1 coat
Notes: This shade is a little on the dusty side of the green spectrum. I like that it's not a typical green you would expect for the holiday season.

Mallory

Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Cornflower blue creme
Coverage: 1 coat
Notes: This cornflower blue is a refreshing take on all of the typical blue shades you see this time of year.

In case you were curious, all of the shades stamp quite well. The first photo shows August stamped with Courtney, Wyatt, Mallory, and Tara. The second photo is of Courtney stamped with August. The final photo is of Tara, and I stamped over that using Noah. I was quite pleased with how well all of these stamped, and how opaque they appeared. Even if you don't need cremes in this shade, I would definitely suggest picking them up for their stamping abilities.

Overall I am fond of the Zoya Urban Grunge Cremes. I had an issue with Courtney but I think it can be resolved by applying much thinner coats.

The complete Zoya Urban Grunge collection is currently available for $10/bottle plus s&h. Check out the links below to order.
