Baroness X Smokey Glow In The Dark Fluid Art Mani - Press sample

Hi all! I know it's kind of unusual for a Sunday post, but I have been sitting on this fluid art look for way too long (almost two weeks) and really wanted to get it out there before I was swamped with other deadlines. I've had this idea of glow in the dark fluid art rattling around in my head for a while and decided to see if it was even feasible. Now I don't want anything to get confused here, the glow in the dark polish is not a fluid art color. I just wanted to see if a thicker glow in the dark color could be used in a fluid art design and still retain its glowing properties.

For this look I created nail art decals using this method about a day before I wanted to wear this mani. For the decals I used Baroness X Strange & Unusual, Baroness X X Marks The Spot, and Zoya Tommy. I would usually use a light colored base underneath fluid art decals, but since my sticky base is tinted I figured that was enough to create a full coverage look.

I really couldn't be happier with how smokey and wispy Zoya Tommy made this nail art look. I really wanted something kind of mysterious and spooky without it being an outright "fall" look.

The best part is that this actually glows! I was worried Strange & Unusual would get too muddled by the fluid art process, but it didn't seem to impact it at all.
