Bonjour Wax Co - Wax Wednesday
Wednesday, June 27, 2018I'm going to try to start doing a regular Wax Wednesday post. It might be an assortment of brands in the future, but today is going to be Bonjour Wax Co. focused. I was previously keeping notes on my melts as I worked through them, but it was taking too long to melt enough of the same brand for a full post. You might notice that some of the scents (and warmers) mentioned are holiday related, so that might give you an idea of how long I've been sitting on some of these.
Strawberry Jamboree
Scent: Strawberry jam cornbread muffins & wild honey
Cold sniff: Strawberries with notes of bread and honey
Throw: 4 out of 5. Could smell everywhere except the kitchen
Warmer used: 20 watt wide dish hotplate
Amount used: .5oz
Would I repurchase: Uncertain
Notes: While I really enjoyed this scent, I don't think I would melt it all the time.
Cranberry Cider Donuts
Scent: Cranberry & apple cider donuts
Cold sniff: Apple with spices, donut and cranberry
Throw: 5 out of 5. Could smell throughout the house.
Warmer used: AmbiEscents Snowman - 25 watt lightbulb
Amount used: .5oz
Would I repurchase: Yes
Notes: This smells like all things happy and winter.
Aunt Bethany's Jello
Scent: Lime, orange, and grapefruit
Cold sniff: A bright, well balanced mixture of lime, orange and grapefruit
Throw: 5 out of 5. Could smell throughout the house.
Warmer used: 20 watt wide dish hotplate
Amount used: .5oz
Price: $2.25 for 1.6oz shot
Would I repurchase: Yes
Notes: I loved the bright notes in this melt. I could see myself melting this year round.
Winter Berry Cake
Scent: Frosted winter berries & white wedding cake
Cold sniff: Berries with sweet white cake and frosting
Throw: 3 out of 5. Could smell in half of the house
Warmer used: 20 watt wide dish hotplate

Would I repurchase: Yes
Notes: This is a nice, sweet bakery scent with a berry twist.

Cold sniff: Cherry, orange and plums with a touch of sweetness
Throw: 5 out of 5. Could smell throughout the house

Notes: This was a nice mix of fruit with a little sweetness to it. It's one of the more unique fruit blends I've encountered so far.

Notes: This scent smells really fresh and clean

Carrot Cake
Scent: Carrot cake, toasted marshmallow, vbn, mandarin orange
Cold sniff: Sweet marshmallow, carrot cake and a touch of vbn
Throw: 2 out of 5. Could only smell it in one room and maybe the hallway
Warmer used: AmbiEscents White Pumpkin - 25 watt lightbulb
Amount used: 1 skull
Would I repurchase: I already did!
Notes: This scent is delightful. I want the corresponding dessert asap!
Coconut Bunny Cakes
Scent: White cake, sweet ripe strawberries, buttercream and shredded coconut
Cold sniff: Heavy on the coconut with strawberries and cake
Throw: 4 out of 5. Could smell everywhere but one room
Warmer used: 20 watt wide dish hotplate
Amount used: 1/2 bunny (about 1 cube)
Would I Repurchase: Yes
Notes: This was a nice blend where it was easy to pick out all of the notes.
Cold sniff: Heavy on the coconut with strawberries and cake
Throw: 4 out of 5. Could smell everywhere but one room
Warmer used: 20 watt wide dish hotplate
Amount used: 1/2 bunny (about 1 cube)
Would I Repurchase: Yes
Notes: This was a nice blend where it was easy to pick out all of the notes.
Bunny Burps
Scent: Fruity jelly beans & fizzy pop
Cold sniff: Equal parts fruity and fizzy
Throw: 4 out of 5. Could smell everywhere but one room
Warmer used: 20 watt wide dish hotplate
Amount used: 1/2 bunny
Would I repurchase: Yes
Notes: I really enjoyed the fizzy part of this blend. It's a great balance between the two scents.
