Bohemian Polish Summer of Love Collection
Monday, June 20, 2016Bohemian Polish Summer of Love Collection- Press sample
I promised two collections, so here's the second one. Summer of Love is a five-piece collection from Bohemian Polish inspired by Courtney Love. Each shade was inspired by a song, but I'm not going to tell you which ones. If you can guess any of the songs, be sure to leave me a comment below.
I'm Miss World
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Rich purple holo
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: This purple holo has a slight flash of red in the right lighting.
Girl Germs
Formula: A little thick, but manageable
Finish: Black jelly filled with various pink and green neon glitters
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: I'm a huge fan of neon glitter in dark bases, so this one immediately caught my eye.
And the Sky Was Made of Amethyst
Formula: A little thick, but as expected for a glitter bomb
Finish: Jeweled jelly filled with various purple holographic glitters
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: I'm not going to sugar coat the fact that glitter bombs are difficult to remove, but I will say that this one is worth it.
The Girl With the Most Cake
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: A soft pink holo
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: This light pink has a subtle holo shimmer that is most noticeable in indirect light.
Covered in Loser Dust
Formula: A little thick, but manageable
Finish: Black crelly with purple/green/gold color-shifting pigment and rainbow flakies.
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: This shifter is tricky to capture on camera because bright light mutes the shift. You can see the shift when you look at the bottle.
Conclusion
I like that this collection isn't something you would normally see this time of year. It's a little dark, and grungy, but life can't just be rainbows. That said, if you prefer rainbows Jen is also releasing her Washed Out 3.0 collection today. Be sure to check her out on the links below.
