Happy Labor Day to my US & Canadian friends! Since this is pretty much the last hurrah before summer is officially over, I thought I would share a couple of neon shades with you guys. Today's post features two shades from Orly's Pacific Coast Highway collection and some nail art.
Road Trippin
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Neon yellow creme
Coverage: 4 coats
Notes: This shade wasn't quite as opaque as I was expecting it to be. The next time I wear it, I will probably put it over white to reach full coverage in fewer coats.
Put the Top Down
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Neon pink creme
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: This pink is electric! I really didn't want to remove this mani at all.
Orly Road Trippin and Put the Top Down go together beautifully, so I decided to do some simple negative space nail art with them. I started off by applying a zig zag nail vinyl to bare nail before applying polish to either side of it. Once I reached full coverage with each shade, I gently pulled the vinyl off each nail. I gave the design a few minutes to dry before topping it with a quick dry top coat.
