Here's part two as promised!

Back Up

Splendor Nail Lacquer Back Up

Back Up is an intensely sparkly glitter topper made up of silver holo dust and silver holo hexes. The formula was perfect for this topper. The glitter spread out easily and required no extra effort. Pictured above is a single coat over Mars, with a second coat on the ring finger.

LoVe

LoVe is a blue to teal jelly holo. It's stunning in low or bright light settings. The top photo is taken under diffused daylight bulbs (comparable to an overcast day), while the second photo is taken under direct light. The formula provided full coverage with two coats, but I did have an issue with staining. It wasn't as bad as my previous experiences, but I definitely noticed it. I spoke with Leslee about the color, and she did note that "lake" pigments can stain depending on the person. If you enjoy LoVe as much as I do, double up on the base coat just in case.

Persnicketier

Persnicketier is a strawberry pink crelly full of silver holo dust. It's got a lovely subtle sparkle that really enhances the shade. The photos above show three coats for full coverage.

Marshmallow

Marshmallow is a pearl white crelly with white dots and squares as well as iridescent hexes. This is another one of those shades I could see being perfect for winter manis. I was really impressed with the formula overall. Glitter came out easily, and I felt like I was able to get a nice amount of coverage with three coats. I know some of you don't care for the visible nail line look, so you can always layer this over white.

Overall I was really impressed with Splendor Nail Lacquer's first line. The formulas were spot on, and she offered a wide variety of colors. All of the colors from the Private Eyes collection will be available on November 1st, 2014.
