Spellbound Nails Give Up the Ghost Collection

Monday, October 06, 2014

Hey guys! I have two colors from Spellbound Nails' Give Up the Ghost collection. This collection was inspired by the movie Casper. If you haven't seen the movie you should definitely give it a chance. You will have to suspend a little disbelief to get through the old special effects, but I still think it's a great movie.

Pinky Promise is a glow in the dark pink jelly packed with various shapes of black glitter and white hexagons. The formula felt a bit thick, and it's hard to say if it was because of the glow in the dark pigment, the glitter, or the mini brush. If you like the color, I recommend purchasing a full size bottle to avoid a tricky application. I would also like to note that I was not able to get this color to glow at all. I spoke with the maker, and we think it might have gotten too hot in transit. I used three coats in the photos above.

Can I Keep You is a purple crelly with yellow stars and various shapes of red glitter. The formula was an ok consistency. I found that it looked best with three coats. As you might have noticed, I had no issue getting those little stars out of the bottle. I also want to note that I don't just change my nail shape in the middle of swatching collections. I swatched Pinky Promise back in early September, but had to wait for a reformulation of Can I Keep You. It was definitely worth the wait though!

  1. Both are interesting crelly shades. Pinky Promise is different because of those black triangle glitter pieces in there.

  2. Aw, Can I Keep You! That part of Casper is so cute. I was infatuated with the boy that Casper became when I was younger. That's a cute color, I like the yellow stars.
